Competitive and work-in-progress papers are equally welcome. Please note that competitive papers should be no longer than 20 pages, while work-in-progress papers should be no longer than 10 pages (single-spaced, numbered pages, front size 12). Bibliographies and appendices are not included in the page limits.

Modelling activities are steadily increasing in all scientific disciplines, ranging from financial to environmental assessments. Sensitivity analysis is crucial both in the modeling phase and in the interpretation of model results. Sensitivity analysis contributes to model development, model calibration, model validation, reliability and robustness analysis, decision-making under uncertainty, quality-assurance, and model reduction. The SAMO conference is devoted to advances in research on sensitivity analysis methods and their interdisciplinary applications. The SAMO conferences are held every three years. The aim of the SAMO conferences is to bring together users of sensitivity analysis in all disciplines of science. Sensitivity analysis methods are powerful tools in physics, operations research, chemistry, biology, engineering, environmental science, nuclear and industrial safety, economics and finance.

The European Modeling and Simulation Symposium is one of the most important Simulation Appointment in Europe. Tracks organization is intended to cover different research macro-areas dedicated to Industrial Engineering, Effective Design, Business, Economy and Finance, Medicine, Methodologies, Techniques and Applications. Such framework gives to scientists, technicians and users the opportunity to interact, collaborate on the most challenging research topics in the field of Modeling & Simulation.

The HMS Workshop concentrates on applications of simulation and computer technologies to logistics, supply chain management, multimodal transportation, maritime environment and industrial logistics.

The MAS Conference concentrates on applied Modeling & simulation (M&S) and computer technologies; application fields include logistics, supply chain management, production control, business and industrial organization. In 1996 DIP was driving the European Simulation Symposium into the Simulation in Industry Event for demonstrating the potential of M&S applied in real world; in similar way MAS is an International Conference in M&S Applications.

The International Society for Inventory Research (ISIR) sponsors a session each year at the ASSA Meetings in January.  Historically, these sessions have focused exclusively on the topic of inventories.  At next year’s session, however, the focus will be expanded to include the related topics of business fixed investment and business cycles.
