The International Society for Inventory Research has the pleasure to invite you to participate in the 16th International Symposium on Inventories, the only scholarly forum in the world focusing directly on in inventories.
We hope to welcome you at the 16th International Symposium on Inventories in 2010.
The field of forecasting has progressed significantly during the last half a century. The relevant advancements have been mainly facilitated by the development of new methods and by the widespread usage of powerful computers that enable the manipulation of large amounts of useful data and render computationally intensive methods ‘affordable’.
Next year ISIR will sponsor a session at the Meetings in Denver, Colorado, 2011.

Modelling activities are steadily increasing in all scientific disciplines, ranging from financial to environmental assessments. Sensitivity analysis is crucial both in the modeling phase and in the interpretation of model results. Sensitivity analysis contributes to model development, model calibration, model validation, reliability and robustness analysis, decision-making under uncertainty, quality-assurance, and model reduction.
